Dr. Cynthia Abban is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology care. She emphasizes a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring clear communication and individualized treatment plans. With expertise in both adult and pediatric dermatology, Dr. Abban treats a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, hair loss, and skin cancer. She also offers cosmetic dermatology procedures, such as laser treatments, chemical peels, neuromodulators like BOTOX® and Dysport®, and dermal fillers. Her specialized interests include skin of color dermatology, vulvar dermatology, and procedural dermatology.
Dr. Abban earned her Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology from Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Abban is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), National Medical Association (NMA). In addition to her clinical work, she has served as a dermatology clinical attending at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is currently a clinical preceptor and faculty member at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
With a commitment to advancing dermatologic care, Dr. Abban has been recognized with numerous honors, including the American Academy of Dermatology Leadership Forum Award and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology Mentorship Award. She is an active member of professional organizations, such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Passionate about education and research, she continues to contribute to the field through mentorship and academic involvement while delivering high-quality care to her patients.
